Denver Volunteer Opportunities

Man stocking food pantry

Volunteers significantly extend the reach of JFS staff and allow all of us to fulfill the mission of service to the vulnerable in our community. When you volunteer, you give the most precious gift of all – yourself. There is a myriad of ways that individuals and organizations can help make a difference in someone’s life. Whether it’s working in the Weinberg Food Pantry, serving as a Friendly Visitor to an isolated older adult, or supporting fundraising events, there are many opportunities to use your skills that fit into your lifestyle.

An application and brief phone interview are required for all volunteer assignments. The needs of the community change over time so please indicate your top three preferences on the application in order for us to match your skills/interests with JFS areas of greatest need.

Please note that volunteer opportunities are primarily during weekday business hours. Please carefully consider your availability so we can best match you appropriately with a volunteer assignment.

Our Volunteer Process

Once you have viewed the volunteer opportunities and determined what works best with your availability and interests, please complete our volunteer application.
