Whether you’re looking for a way to commemorate a special occasion by giving back to your community, or simply wanting to help those in need, JFS has many ways to get involved. You can choose from service projects we provide or speak with our team to share your passion and work together to customize one.

Help individuals and families who struggle to make ends meet:
Collect diapers and wipes
Collect feminine hygiene supplies for Justice Necessary to tackle period poverty
Make personal hygiene kits filled with toiletries to be distributed to our pantry clients
Help provide Thanksgiving meals by donating money and volunteer to pack food boxes
Help provide food for a Passover seder by donating money and volunteer to pack food boxes
Adopt a family during the holidays through our Bright Holidays program
Host a toy drive for JFS Secret Shopper program or help wrap and distribute gifts
Purchase household items for newly housed or formerly homeless individuals and families
Support our partner, Colorado Pet Pantry, with donations of pet food and toys

Support mental health and wellness:
Donate to KidSuccess to support counseling in 16 area schools
Work with a JFS representative to plan a session on wellness and resiliency for your school or youth group
Raise funds to support mental health counseling for refugees who’ve experienced trauma
Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Work with JFS on implementing inclusion initiatives with your class or group
Invite a JFS Disability Services professional to speak to your class or group about inclusion
Contribute funds to JFS’s Arts and Community Exploration program so individuals with developmental disabilities can enjoy cultural and other activities or share your creativity and talent by doing a demonstration or leading the group in a project
Plan and participate in an activity for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Help older adults stay connected and engaged:
Work with a JFS Community Chaplain to plan a holiday program at a retirement community or hospital (Hanukkah party, Passover Seder, Sukkot program, Shabbat service)
Collect donations for Kosher Meals on Wheels
Collect donations for meals at the JCC and assist with serving
Connect with an older adult who feels isolated by making a weekly check-in call
Provide support to older adults who are tech challenged
Item donations can be dropped off at 3201 South Tamarac Dr., Denver, CO 80231 during our normal operating hours, Mon-Thu: 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Fri: 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
