Altius Farms Volunteer Opportunties
At JFS Altius Farms, more than 31,000 pounds of fresh produce is grown every year in the 7,300 sq. ft. rooftop greenhouse, which houses 345 Tower Gardens. The rooftop farm provides locally and sustainably grown chemical pesticide-free produce for restaurants, local grocers, the community, and for JFS Weinberg Food Pantry clients.
As a nonprofit social enterprise, the farm delivers healthier food, reduces environmental impact, and elevates our local economy. We serve people and planet.
Altius Farms Crew
Join JFS Altius Farms to provide fresh, healthy, locally grown produce. JFS Altius Farms delivers great local taste (year-round) for restaurants, food service, markets and residents. Volunteer activities include produce packaging, seeding, cleaning, and transplanting.
Commitment: Weekly or every other week preferred. Shifts are Mondays-Fridays, 9:30am - 11:30am, 11am-1pm and 12:00pm-2:00pm. A commitment of at least three months preferred.
Additional Requirements: Ages 18 and older.
Random projects will occur throughout the year as well so you can be added to our email list if interested in one-time opportunities.
