Counseling Services for Older Adults
JFS is now accepting new counseling clients age 65+. Older adults and their family members can often benefit from compassionate counseling to cope with life’s transitions and other issues that come with aging. Our therapists are licensed clinical social workers with a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

As with almost everything in 2020, the way we helped older adults in our community celebrate Hanukkah looked different this year. Thanks to some creativity and dedicated volunteers, JFS Boulder staff and volunteers delivered goody bags to 60 older adults and community members with disabilities.

Wisdom Wormenor, father of two teenagers, owns a chauffeur company that caters to clients who travel from around the world to Colorado for business. When COVID-19 hit, Wisdom’s business experienced a dramatic decrease in clients, and he was worried about how he would pay his rent. See how JFS helped him stay in his home.
Emergency Assistance Program: Keeping Mark in his Home
When Mark lost his job earlier this year and needed assistance paying his rent, he knew exactly where to go for help. As a JFS client who had utilized the Weinberg Food Pantry and our chaplaincy services when he needed spiritual guidance, he reached out to his case manager.
