Responding to Antisemitism: An Interfaith Call to Action
Community, government, and faith leaders in Colorado will take part in a virtual event, Responding to Antisemitism: An Interfaith Call to Action, Tuesday, January 18, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Leaders are acting in response to the incident at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas on Saturday where a rabbi and three congregants were taken hostage during worship services and held at gunpoint for 11 hours. Speakers at the virtual gathering will include Colorado Governor Jared Polis, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser, Rep. Iman Jodeh, Rep. Dafna Michaelson Jenet, President of Rocky Mountain Rabbis and Cantors Rabbi Brian Field and President-Elect Rabbi Emily Hyatt, Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen, the ADL’s Scott Levin, and President and CEO of Jewish Colorado Rabbi Jay Strear.Downtown Denver Islamic Center, the Catholic Interfaith Alliance of Colorado.
