Marshall Fire Resources
As the one-year anniversary of the Marshall Fire approaches JFS Boulder continues to provide resources for those impacted by the fire.
Virtual Group EMDR
Group EMDR protocol is an evidence-based practice designed specifically to support individuals impacted by disasters such as wildfires. Led by local therapists certified in Group EMDR, the sessions incorporate mindfulness, grounding exercises and other resources to decrease emotional and physical struggles that can follow trauma.
Understanding Personal and Collective Impacts of Traumatic Losses
The community has experienced many layers of trauma and loss over the past few years. As the one year anniversary of the Marshall fire approaches we invite you to watch this Town Hall to “check-in” with yourself, understand how you can support yourself through the year anniversary and gather some important tools for support and resourcing for yourself and your family.

If you feel you will want/need more than 10 sessions, we encourage you to reach out to our team. JFS Boulder has received a recovery grant from the Red Cross to expand access to longer-term mental health services for those impacted by the Marshall Fire and Straight-Line Wind Event, as well as individuals who have secondary trauma attributed to their roles as first responders, teachers, and disaster recovery staff. If you already received 10 counseling sessions through the BCCC or believe that you will need long-term therapy, please reach out to bccc@jewishfamilyservice.org to inquire about availability of our staff clinicians.
