Refugee Mental Health Services
To ease the stress of a difficult transition, we offer individual and family counseling to refugees who are adjusting to life in Colorado. Our therapists are able to help clients attain not only psychological stability, but recover from trauma and transition to healthy work, school, family relationships, and adaptation to a new culture.
The Refugee Mental Health program provides a holistic approach in providing accessible mental health services for underserved refugees who have resettled in Colorado.
The program is staffed with highly skilled, culturally aware psychotherapists, who specialize in treating people from diverse backgrounds with mental health needs. The psychotherapists, psychiatrist, interpreters, and navigators work as a team, as well as in collaboration with other organizations in the community to provide wrap-around services for refugees, thus addressing their physical and emotional needs. We accept most insurance plans, including Medicaid.
The ultimate goal of the Refugee Mental Health program is to assure the stability and the mental well-being of refugees. We offer outpatient counseling services in our office and in the community, psychiatric services for clients who require more in-depth medical attention, interpretation for refugees with no or limited English-language proficiency, and psycho-education outreach and advocacy. Our navigators also help refugees navigate the complex healthcare and social services systems in the US.
