Medication Management

JFS connects individuals needing psychiatric medication with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who can provide medication management and prescriptions. This service is available to current JFS clients and those who receive therapy elsewhere but cannot be prescribed medication by their provider. This resource addresses the severe shortage of available psychiatrists and medication providers for Denver residents needing critical care to achieve emotional wellness and stability.

Our Nurse Practitioner is licensed and nationally board certified to provide psychiatric care for patients with mental illness, specifically in prescribing and managing psychiatric medications. They work collaboratively with JFS therapists and external referring therapists to ensure proper medication and dosage are prescribed for acute and chronic mental health conditions.

This service increases access to psychiatric care providers and medication management for clients who are uninsured, underinsured, and covered by Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance within the City and County of Denver.
