Medication Management
Our behavioral health services have expanded to focus on connecting individuals needing psychiatric medication with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who can provide medication management and prescriptions. This service is available to current JFS clients and those who receive therapy elsewhere but cannot be prescribed medication by their provider. This new resource addresses the severe shortage of available psychiatrists and medication providers for Denver residents needing critical care to achieve emotional wellness and stability.
The PMHNP is licensed and nationally board certified to provide psychiatric care for patients with mental illness, specifically in prescribing and managing psychiatric medications. The PMHNP works collaboratively with JFS therapists and external referring therapists to ensure proper medication and dosage are prescribed for acute and chronic mental health conditions.
