Donate to Support Holocaust Survivors
JFS provides a variety of services to ensure that our Holocaust survivors have the resources and support they need to live in peace and comfort. We assist survivors with care management, in-home services, compassionate care, and emergency assistance for groceries, glasses, and medical expenses. Awareness of the JFS Holocaust Survivor’s Assistance program has grown, and more individuals are looking to the agency to provide services that help them live with dignity and in comfort and security. However, as costs associated with age-related care continue to increase, JFS needs your help to ensure that this vulnerable population receives consistent care and assistance in creating a robust support system for them and their families.
Now is the time for you to choose compassion over hate and generosity over unmet needs for our local Holocaust survivors.
Last year, JFS helped 155 survivors, and this year, we expect to serve 190 local survivors with:
Care management and consultation
Counseling
In-home services
Community-based programs
Holocaust survivor assistance
We advocate for survivors throughout the application and recertification process to ensure they receive the financial restitution they are entitled to through the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. This support enables JFS to assist survivors with a range of essential needs. However, JFS faces significant funding gaps, and we need your help. While Claims Conference funding supports 130 clients, JFS faces a $1 million deficit to assist the survivors currently on the waitlist.
