Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony Friday, January 26

The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz –Birkenau, as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Kavod Senior Life is hosting a ceremony on January 26, it is free and open to the public.

The event starts at 1:00 p.m. at Kavod Senior Life in the Shul Classroom, 22 S. Adams Street, Denver CO 80209.

The program will be led by Rabbi Booth-Nadav, Rabbi Rick Brody, and Pastor Caitlin Trussel, featuring special readings, music, and a time where survivors are honored. Rabbi Birdie Becker will perform on the cello.

It is a rare honor that Colorado resident and Cantor Zachary Kutner, a survivor of the Holocaust who was imprisoned in the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II, will sing the signature prayer “El Malei Rachamim” at this commemorative event and Scott Levin, Regional ADL Director will be speaking.

Limited street parking is available; please plan extra time to park and enter accordingly.
