Colorado Utility Assistance

If you need help with your Xcel Energy bill, JFS and the Energy Outreach Colorado assistance program might be able to help. You can receive assistance once a year (October - September), and assistance can pay up to $1,000 (if you have only gas OR electric) and $2,000 (if you have gas AND electric). Eligibility criteria apply.

Due to a high number of applications, JFS can only receive and review fully completed submissions. If an incomplete application is sent, JFS staff will not be able to move the process forward, nor will we reach out to follow up.

To apply, please make sure to include the following documents:

1. A copy of your most recent Xcel Energy bill.
2. A copy of your ID, making sure that the name matches the bill for the primary account holder.
3. A completed application for assistance. Download the application.
