Meet the Boulder Staff

Cathy Summer, MSW, Care Manager
Cathy provides care management to seniors and to people with disabilities in the Boulder area. She also assists with JFS at Home, which provides in-home, non-medical care. She has worked for several years as a hospice medical social worker. Cathy holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver. She lives in Boulder with her husband, Steve and two daughters, Jayne and Maya, and their dog, Lucy. She enjoys providing care management services within the Jewish community.

Ingrid Swords, Volunteer Resource Coordinator

Ingrid Swords, LCSW is responsible for recruiting and coordinating volunteers for the Friendly Visitor program, Para-chaplains who lead monthly Shabbat services, and people who facilitate holiday programs at the senior facilities. In addition, Ingrid works with University of Colorado Hillel students who shop, cook, and deliver Shabbat meals to our senior clients.

A longtime Boulder resident, Ingrid is a dedicated community volunteer and knows what it takes to run a successful volunteer program. For the past 14 years, she has volunteered for Boulder Friends of UNICEF, where she goes into schools to promote Trick or Treat for UNICEF. She also served as the liaison coordinator for Horizons K – 8, in which she recruited and trained 36 parent liaisons annually for the classrooms. Prior to having children and moving to Boulder, Ingrid was a psychiatric social worker at a mental health clinic and a medical center in California.
