Family Safety Net

The JFS Family Safety Net Program provides services to prevent homelessness. The program promotes self-sufficiency by providing individuals and families in crisis with food, limited emergency financial assistance, care management, and information and referrals.

JFS leads a group of emergency assistance provider agencies in metro Denver that actively collaborate to create strong working relationships and demonstrate the cost/benefit of homeless prevention. The work group has developed a best-practice model of homeless prevention that is based on national empirical research, professional judgment, and experience. Current partner agencies include Access Housing, Catholic Charities, Coalition for the Homeless, Denver Urban Ministries, Energy Outreach Colorado, Inter-Faith Community Services, Senior Assistance Center, and Senior Support Services.
