How Could $10,000 Impact JFS’s Clients?

• JFS to have one KidSuccess therapist spend one day/week/36
  weeks (school year) providing school-based mental health services
  to low- and moderate-income, at-risk students, their families, and
  the school community;

• JFS to provide 375 hours of homemaker services to 8 clients living
  with HIV/AIDS or cancer every other week (or 4½ clients weekly);

• JFS to provide Group Home residents with twelve hours
  of supervised activities a week/year including transportation;

• JFS to provide Jewish Disability Network members with twelve hours
  of supervised activities a week/year including transportation;

• JFS to provide 18 families/year with the full-cost of one month’s
  rent to enable them to remain in their homes (based on a
  average rent of $550)

• JFS to provide approximately 50 children with Lunch and Learning —
  an innovative summer nutrition and reading program (includes
  11 weeks of lunches, 11 books to select and keep, and a new
  backpack and school supplies.)

• JFS to provide 9 meals per month for one year for 139 individuals —
  i.e. 14,976 meals

• JFS to provide one full-day a week of Citizenship training for one
  year and assist clients with necessary paperwork to apply
  for citizenship.

There are many other examples of how $10,000 could help JFS provide much-needed services to our community. The list is endless, as is the need.
