Year-End Donations

Just a quick reminder that JFS will be closed on Friday, December 31st. We welcome your last-minute, year-end donations online! If you prefer to make a donation by phone, please call Jari Thymian at (303) 597.5000 x386 by 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30th to be included in 2010 donations. You may also mail checks to JFS at 3201 South Tamarac Drive, Denver, CO 80231.

We appreciate your support and wish you a very happy 2011!

Donate Food to the Weinberg Food Pantry for the High Holy Days!

Due to the very difficult economy, we need your help more than ever to provide nutritious food to people in need. When you attend services during the High Holy Days, please drop off food at your synagogue. Find a list is a list of synagogues that are collecting food for the JFS Weinberg Food Pantry:

Below is the Pantry’s Top 10 List. Please add as many of these items to your shopping list as you can to ensure that those struggling in our community can have a sweet New Year.

1. Diapers (Size 4, 5, 6)
2. Toiletries (Full size) Toothpaste, Soap, Deodorant, Shampoo
3. Canned Protein (Tuna, Chicken, etc.)
4. Canned Vegetables
5. Canned Fruit
6. Dry Soup (Top Ramen)
7. Spaghetti/Pasta/Rice
8. Canned Soup
9. Pasta Sauce
10. Gift Certificates (King Soopers and Safeway certificates enable clients to purchase much needed medications or foods for special diets.)

Mon., Sept. 6: Closed for Labor Day
Wed., Sept. 8: Close at 2:00 for Rosh Hashanah
Thurs. and Fri., Sept. 9 and 10: Closed for Rosh Hashanah
Fri., Sept. 17: Close at 2:00 for Yom Kippur
Thurs. and Fri., Sept. 23 and 24: Closed for Sukkot
Thurs., Sept. 30 and Fri., Oct. 1: Closed for Sukkot
