Erica Feldman, a senior honors student at Colorado State University, recently donated 25 birthday boxes to our Weinberg Food Pantry clients. Erica volunteered at JFS in the past with Hebrew High and remembered that we had a food pantry. For her honors thesis project, O'Dells Brewery awarded her with more than $2,300 and she also received gift card donations from King Soopers, Safeway, Albertsons, and the Dollar Store.
With all the donations, Erica then assembled the boxes that have everything inside that a family would need to throw a wonderful birthday party for their child! Each box contains party plates, cups, napkins, invitations, decorations, party favors, a brownie or cake mix, a disposable cake pan, a $10 gift card, and a present. She wrapped the boxes with paper donated from Current for a beautiful finishing touch.
Thank you, Erica, for this thoughtful volunteer project that will benefit so many of our families!
