Last Saturday, Marion Goldstein, a JFS volunteer and part-time employee, celebrated her 70th birthday. Marion shares her birthday with her daughter-in-law, Amy, so they threw a party together at the Great Northern Tavern. Instead of gifts, they asked their guests to bring food for the Weinberg Food Pantry. The attendees of the party donated 110 lbs of food, as well as money and gift cards! And if you know Marion, you will not be surprised to learn that Marion made all the desserts. Thank you to Marion, Amy, and all the guests for helping out the Food Pantry in this fun, creative way!
Collecting food for the Pantry is an easy way to support JFS and can be done in a variety of ways such as at a birthday party or other celebration. For more information, please contact David Rabb, Weinberg Food Pantry manager at (303) 597.5000 x359.
